> Put the whole course together in three real jobs: review a proposal, complete a registration form, and review and sign an agreement.

You've learned to open, navigate, view, search, copy, comment on, mark up, draw on, fill in, sign, print, and save PDFs. Real work mixes all of these. In this lesson, you'll do three complete jobs of the kind people do every week: **review a proposal** for a committee, **complete a registration form**, and **review and sign an agreement**. Each project starts with a short brief, like a real request from a colleague. Use whatever tools you think fit, then check each step.

Open the **PDF sandbox**. Each project has a button that opens its PDF.

## Before you start any PDF task

A few habits make every PDF job faster and safer:

1. **Look at the whole document first.** Check the page count, open **Bookmarks** or the contents page, and skim the pages so you know what's where.
2. **Find, don't scroll.** Use **Search** for names, numbers, and key words.
3. **Be specific in feedback.** Mark the exact words, say what to change, and reply to other people's comments.
4. **Fill in, check, then sign.** Your signature goes on last, after everything is correct.
5. **Save and name your copy** before you close the tab, and share it only with the people who need it.

Read the brief before you open the PDF. Knowing **who** the work is for and **what** they need tells you which tools to use.

## A checklist for every project

Those habits line up with the stages of every job:

| Stage | Ask yourself |
|---|---|
| **Find** | Did I use the page box, bookmarks, thumbnails, or search, instead of scrolling? |
| **Read** | Did I zoom to a comfortable size, and read every page that matters? |
| **Respond** | Did I mark the exact words, explain each comment, and answer other reviewers? |
| **Complete** | Are all required fields filled, and the answers checked? |
| **Sign** | Did I read the whole document, and sign last, on the signature line? |
| **Save** | Did I download the file with a clear name? |

If you get stuck, the hints under each task point to the lesson that covers it. Every skill here was practised earlier in the course.

## Common mistakes

| Mistake | What happens | How to fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Skipping pages | You miss a mistake or a clause | Use thumbnails to check you've seen every page |
| Comments without replies | Reviewers don't know if you agree | Reply, and set a status |
| A required field left empty | The form won't submit | Look for red borders and asterisks |
| Signing before reading | You agree to terms you haven't seen | Read every page first |
| Not downloading | Comments, answers, and signatures are lost | Download before you close |

With those habits in mind, here are the three projects, one at a time.

## Project 1: PDF review

**The brief:** The Parks Team has sent the Community Committee a proposal for a new playground in Riverside Park. The committee chair has asked you to review it before Thursday's meeting: check the key facts, comment on anything unclear, and highlight the numbers the committee must decide on.

The next project moves from reviewing documents to completing a PDF form.

## Project 2: PDF forms

**The brief:** You're taking your family to the Riverton Food Festival. Register online with the festival's PDF form: a family ticket for both days, and a place in the bread baking class. Submit the form and keep a copy as your ticket.

The final project brings several skills together: reviewing, commenting, and signing an agreement.

## Project 3: Contract review

Reviewing an agreement is about understanding what you promise, not checking spelling. Focus on money, dates, deadlines, and what happens if something goes wrong. For anything important, such as a lease or a job contract, ask someone you trust to read it too.

**The brief:** You're hiring sound equipment, tables, and chairs from the Community Hall for a street party. Before you sign the hire agreement, read it carefully, highlight the costs and deadlines that matter, ask about anything unclear, then sign and save it.

## What to remember

- Start every task by **skimming the whole PDF**: pages, bookmarks, contents.
- **Find** with the page box, bookmarks, thumbnails, and search.
- **Review** with exact marks, clear comments, and replies.
- **Fill in** every required field, **check** your answers, and **sign last**.
- **Print** only what you need, and **download** a clearly named copy.

Congratulations: you've finished the PDF course. You can now read, navigate, search, review, fill in, sign, print, and share PDF documents with confidence.
